Liathróid Láimhe - Bua mór d'fhoireann Scoil Gharbháin (Nollag 2010)

Bhí an slua ar bís an tseachtain seo caite nuair a bhuaigh an fhoireann scoile an craobh sa chomórtas áitiúil sa Choláiste béal dorais.  Bronnadh sciath breá orthu. Comhgháirdeachas ó chroí leo bhí an caighdeán imeartha den scoth acu. Táimíd ana bhródúil astu. Foireann Liathróid Láimhe Scoil Gharbháin, Adam Ó Cléirigh, Gavin Seoighe, Leigh Ó Céilleachair, Óisín Ó Mathúna, Conchúir Ó Foghlú, Ruairí Ó Donnabháin, Cal Frainclín, Phoebe Dipple, Shauna Ní Fhlannchaidh agus Peadar Ó Súilleabháin.  Don chéad uair i stair na scoile, bhuaigh foireann liathróid láimhe Scoil Gharbháin an chraobh sa chomórtas 'Friary Shield'.  Ba mhaith linn ár mbuíochas a ghabhailt le Brother Spring as an scil nua seo a chur ar a gcumas agus as an gcomórtas a eagrú. Míle buíochas.

Hand Ball - A Big Win for the Scoil Gharbháin Handball Team

The excitement was almost palatable amongst the supporters when the Hand ball team from Scoil Gharbháin won the Hand ball competition held in St. Augustine's College and were presented with the Shield on the night. Congratulations to all involved as the play was of a very high standard.  We are very proud of all the players involved Adam Ó Cléirigh, Gavin Seoighe, Leigh Ó Céilleachair, Óisín Ó Mathúna, Conchúir Ó Foghlú, Ruairí Ó Donnabháin, Cal Frainclín, Phoebe Dipple, Shauna Ní Fhlannchaidh and Peadar Ó Súilleabháin.  A historical win for Scoil Gharbháin's handball team in the competition for the much coveted Friary Shield.  We would also like to thank Brother Spring for coaching the children in this new skill and for organising the competition.
